Sudip Chatterjee is yet to meet legendary Indian batsman and India A coach Rahul Dravid.
The Bengal Cricket team began their proceedings in the invitational KSCA tournament against KSCA Colts as they put up a staggering performance on Day 1. The team led by Sudip Chatterjee posted a score of 305 for the loss of just 4 wickets riding on two centuries from their batsmen.
One of them was skipper Sudip Chatterjee himself who remained unbeaten on a score of 110. The second person to mark the test with a century was Purab Joshi who played a wonderful inning of 122. The duo combined brilliantly to put up a solid partnership of 219 runs for the third wicket which kept Bengal on the driving seat. However, the team is unhappy with the umpires for giving Abhimanyu Easwaran out in a wrong LBW decision. According to the team members, the ball was destined for the fifth stump.
Captain and centurion Sudip Chatterjee seemed happy after beginning the season on a high. ” We have played really well today and tomorrow the team needs to do the same as we have to put more runs on the board tomorrow.” said Sudip.
Sudip Chatterjee is looking forward to getting as many runs as he can under his belt before leaving for the India A tour. “This century will give me a lot of confidence for the upcoming matches. I am trying to score as many runs that I get before leaving for the India A tour,” Sudip said.
