Pakistan would like to continue their winning run as they take on Afghanistan in their upcoming fixture in the T20 World Cup 2021. The encounter takes place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday (October 29). Having defeated India and New Zealand in their first two outings, the Men in Green have made a stellar start to the competition. A win in this fixture could even seal them a place in the semi-finals.

On the other hand, Afghanistan also defeated Scotland in their opening game. However, they are set to face a greater challenge. Pakistan will definitely take the field as favourites as they have hardly done anything wrong in the competition. While the likes of Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf have done exceptionally well with the ball, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam have showcased their batting blitzes.

As far as Afghanistan are concerned, they outplayed the Scottish side in their last fixture. After posting 190/4 while batting first in Dubai, the Mohammad Nabi-led side bundled Scotland out for 60. They, hence, won the game by 130 runs. With big guns like Rashid Khan, skipper Nabi and Hazratullah Zazai, the Afghan side would back itself to defeat Pakistan.

Meanwhile, let’s look at important stats and numbers ahead of the 24th game of the T20 World Cup 2021:
