T20 World Cup 2021, Match 25: South Africa vs Sri Lanka, Stats Preview: Player records and approaching milestones
Rassie van der Dussen needs just 3 runs to complete 4000 T20 runs.
South Africa would like to continue their stellar run as they take Sri Lanka in their latest fixture in T20 World Cup 2021. The encounter takes place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday (October 30). Both teams have won one of their first two games and it would be interesting to see how the upcoming clash pans out for them.
Speaking of the Proteas team, they suffered a narrow five-wicket defeat against Australia in their opening fixture. However, they bounced back and defeated West Indies by eight wickets. Although there are some loopholes in South Africa’s ship, they are also some quality players in the ranks. Not to forget, veteran Quinton de Kock is set to come back for this fixture. Hence, the Temba Bavuma-led side would be confident heading into this game.
As far as the Lankan Lions are concerned, they entered the Super 12 stage on the back of three successive wins in the preliminary round. They even defeated Bangladesh in their first assignment in the main group. However, their winning run ended with a seven-wicket defeat against Australia. Hence, they must come up with a better plan against the Proteas side.
