New Zealand is a team that never looks as strong on paper as some of the marquee teams, yet manages to topple them quite often. Quality bowlers are extremely essential to the success of a team but it also requires a captain who knows when to use which bowlers and that is exactly where the Kiwis are second to none. Captain Kane’s bowling troops will be spearheaded by one of the swing bowlers in the world, Trent Boult.

New Zealand is the only team that has announced its 15 man squad for the T20 WC. Their pace bowling attack is well-rounded with Lockie Ferguson hitting hard lengths at speeds of over 145 km/h, Kyle Jamieson and Trent Boult bowling in the powerplay as well as death and Tim Southee keeping it simple with his accuracy with the new ball.

Talking about the spinners, Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi, are the most experienced and probably will be playing all matches. Both are accurate and spin the ball which makes it difficult for the batsmen to take them on by stepping out of the crease. Todd Astle doesn’t have much international experience but he is exciting to watch as well. Expect the Kiwis to play well as a team and once again reach the knockout stages of an ICC event without breaking much sweat.
