One of the fastest bowlers in the world, Anrich Nortje’s brute pace can be a nightmare for any batsman in the world. Only a handful of bowlers can consistently bowl at speeds greater than 150 km/h & the 27-year-old is one of those. He is a bowler who bowls stump to stump and is a true example of the cricketing proverb, “you miss I hit.”

He came back into the national team after having a fantastic IPL 2020 season with the Delhi Capitals. He along with Kagiso Rabada, his fellow Protea speedster were absolutely lethal together and picked up a total of 52 wickets. They led the bowling attack and added the much-needed muscle in the team which was a massive factor in them ending as the runners-up of the season.

Nortje has had a short T20I career as he has played merely 9 matches and taken 7 wickets at an economy of 7.67. If Rabada and Nortje managed to pull off what they did in the last IPL in UAE, there is no stopping South Africa from qualifying to the WC semi-finals.
