Pakistan topped their group last year by winning all five matches in the league stage and went on to play the semi-finals with their heads and spirits high. The team is known to have produced quality bowlers, some of the names include Wasim Akram and the Rawalpindi Express- Shoaib Akhtar.

Due to the abundance of fast bowlers available, bowling in the powerplay and the death overs won’t be a problem. Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf have demonstrated their abilities on the international stage in the past. This time again, Pakistan’s bowling attack will be led by the young gun Shaheen Afridi who wreaked havoc last year, especially against India.

The inclusion of Hasan Ali may be in doubt given his persistently subpar performance. Mohammad Wasim Jr., who only recently joined the T20I setup in 2021, has delivered good results in his previous matches. He might be given the go-ahead instead of Hasan Ali, which would strengthen Pakistan’s assault. Shadab Khan will fill in the spinner’s spot, and his wit and guile will benefit the side.
