Ishan is one of the bright young talents who has come up the ranks with his explosive batting nature. The aggressive left-hander has been doing really well for the Mumbai Indians for the past four years which helped him to earn his maiden Indian call-up back in 2021.

He was the most expensive buy of the season when MI bought him for a whopping 15.25 crore in this year’s auction. He proved his worth by scoring an 80 plus in the very first game against the Delhi Capitals while following it up with a fifty against the Rajasthan Royals.

However, his good form vanished as he collected a string of low scores which made many people question of him being a worthy a candidate for the T20 World Cup. He has now returned back to his basics with his recent scores for MI being a good forty-plus and a half-century. If he continues his good form then he can be a good addition to the T20 World Cup squad where India lacks a left-hander.
