'Take out Kedar Jadhav' - Fans troll CSK after they share Ravindra Jadeja's picture with a baseball bat
Desperate to get back to winnings ways, Dhoni's men will next face Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore on October 10.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK), continuing their woeful run in the on-going IPL 2020, suffered another defeat on Wednesday after failing to hunt down a 167-run total against Kolkata Knight Riders at Abu Dhabi.
Dinesh Karthik-led KKR elected to bat first against CSK and their decision turned out to be a wise one. Rahul Tripathi, their opener, slammed a brilliant 81 off 51 deliveries to provide his side with an excellent start. He hammered 8 fours and 3 sixes to bolster KKR’s run-flow.
However, apart from Tripathi, no other KKR batsman managed to deliver with the bat, and they ultimately amassed 167 runs on the board. Talking about CSK’s bowling unit, Dwayne Bravo plucked three, and Sam Curran, Shardul Thakur and Karn Sharma scalped two wickets each.
Kedar Jadhav was trolled for his sluggish 7 off 12 deliveries
Coming to CSK’s run-chase, it eventually was a disappointment for the Yellow Army. Failing to hunt down a total yet again, CSK succumbed to the asking run-rate. Skipper Dhoni departed after a sluggish 11 off 12. Kedar Jadhav stayed until the end but he was bashed by fans after he put up a dismal show with the bat, gathering just 7 off 12. CSK suffered another drubbing as they lost the match by 10 runs.
Following CSK’s thumping defeat, fans lashed out at the team management for sending Jadhav ahead of Bravo and Jadeja. Skipper Dhoni was also lambasted for his slow innings.
CSK’s Twitter handle also had to face the heat from fans on their latest picture. They posted a picture of Narayan Jagadeesan and Ravindra Jadeja on Twitter and fans, upset with their recent show, bashed the franchise on the tweet.
In the picture shared by CSK, Jagadeesan is standing next to Jadeja, who is sitting on the stairs with a baseball bat in his hands. Twitterati pointed out that the all-rounder has the baseball bat for Jadhav. “Base Camp. ???????? #WhistlePodu #Yellove @imjadeja,” wrote Super Kings’ official Twitter account.
Desperate to get back to winnings ways, Dhoni’s men will next face Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore on October 10 at Dubai International Stadium. With just two victories in six matches so far, CSK are sitting sixth in the points table with four points under their belt.
