Sunil Narine has been with KKR for quite a while now. He has been a KKR legend and it is safe to call him one of IPL’s greatest bowling all-rounder of all time. He has won the “MVP” award twice, once in 2012 and the other in 2018.

However, Narine has been a liability for KKR in the last two seasons. He has been consistently inconsistent and hasn’t come good in the crucial games for KKR. He was used as a pinch hitter to perfection until 2018 and the experiment never really came good after that.

Narine had an ordinary IPL 2020 and had a batting average and strike rate of 13 and 142 respectively. He was ordinary with the ball as well and managed to pick just five wickets in 10 games at an economy rate of 7.92. The fact that he was retained by KKR in 2018 for INR 8.5 crore would tempt the KKR management to release him ahead of IPL 2021, thus increasing their purse for the IPl 2021 auction.
