Jaydev Unadkat has been playing for the Rajasthan Royals, who just can’t seem to stop picking him in every IPL auction. Unadkat was purchased by RR in the 2018 IPL auction for a whopping 11.5 crore Rupees! He was then released ahead of the 2019 IPL auction and purchased again for 8.5 crores.

History repeated itself and RR released Unadkat again going into the IPL 2020 auction only to get him again for INR 3 crores. RR seem to be in a time loop and keep releasing Unadkat to get him again every auction. However, it is very unlikely that RR would purchase him again as they look all set to release him for good this time around.

Unadkat had a lukewarm IPL 2020 and managed to pick just four wickets in seven matches. What’s worse is that he had an economy rate of close to 10 runs an over (9.91) and he made it a habit to leak runs. As RR have invested a lot of money on their overseas stars they have no option but to release Unadkat ahead of IPL 2021.
