Ever since BCCI has announced the squads for the Australia tour, the problems have begun for Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant. Though Pant has been named in the Test squad, his fitness and form are under a lot of questions. On the other hand, in a shocking turn of events, Rohit Sharma has not been named by the BCCI in any of the formats. His fitness has also emerged as a big concern for team India.

He is currently out of the Mumbai Indians playing XI due to a hamstring injury, and it is not yet sure when he would mark his return. In the same manner, Pant also missed some of the IPL matches due to a hamstring injury. In the most recent fixture between Mumbai and Delhi, the defending champions defeated Delhi by nine wickets. In the same light, Mumbai has become the first team to qualify for playoffs 2020, while Delhi is still struggling.

After the match, Pant and Sharma were seen talking, and the official Twitter handle of Mumbai Indians came with a post that had the picture of these two players. It was captioned as, “Still waiting for that six-hitting competition between Pant and Ro!”

In reference to this post, former Indian great Yuvraj Singh came up with a funny rather realistic comment, and it left all in splits. He wrote, “Or a competition of fat percent on their cheeks @ritssajdeh” He didn’t stop here and added further – “It’s like ro is saying to pant tere gaal jyada Motey hain ya mere ?”

Yuvraj even tagged Rohit’s wife, Ritika in his first comment to take her support. Yuvraj’s comment came at a time when both are having fitness issues. In fact, team India’s physio, Nick Webb, stated clearly, that Pant is facing weight issues. Even former Indian Virender Sehwag was caught under criticism by Rohit’s fans when he called him “Vada Pav” on his show Viru Ki Baithak.

Pant and Sharma are currently in UAE. While MI is sitting comfortably on top after its qualification, the struggle is still on for Delhi. They will face Royal Challengers Bangalore in their next clash.
