Sunrisers Hyderabad has had a disappointing IPL season this year as they are languishing at the bottom of the points table with just three victories from 13 matches so far. However, something that has been in constant talks is the stint of David Warner with SRH. The Australian batter hasn’t featured for the team in their last four games of the UAE leg and did not find a place in the playing XI of the last game as well.
As SRH is playing their last match of this season, the former skipper of the side has come forward to leave a heartfelt message for the fans. Warner took it to his official Instagram account to share an emotional picture of him in the team’s jersey and wrote a special caption for the fans of the franchise. The star batter who has been a part of SRH for eight years has had a dismaying tournament this year. He had to lose his captaincy midway through owing to his dip in form and was also left out from the playing XI of the team. The England keeper-batter Jonny Bairstow did not regroup with the side for the second leg of the IPL and thus Warner was included in the initial games of the UAE leg.
However, after registering consecutive single-digit scores, he was left out of the team. Jason Roy replaced him in the side and in four matches he scored a half-century and one 40+ score. Having said that, Warner’s time with SRH is uncertain as there are speculations that SRH might release him ahead of the next edition of the IPL.
