The 17-year-old Shaheen Afridi receives interest from two BBL franchises

One area where Pakistan Cricket has been really lucky is that all their superlative bowlers have born in different eras which have eventually helped them to grow and produce some dazzling performances. Right from Wasim Akram to the newest superlative speedster Shaheen Afridi, almost every bowler has been able to set a benchmark.
The 17-year-old rising star was able to showcase his talent which has eventually helped him to get two offers in the next edition of the Big Bash League (BBL). Currently, he is representing Lahore Qalandars in the ongoing Pakistan Super League(PSL).
According to Geo News, sources have said that the pacer has received interest from two BBL sides in securing his services for next year. The teenager was one of the prime finds for Pakistan in the recently concluded ICC U19 World Cup in New Zealand where the side lost to champion team India in the semi-finals. He had picked 12 wickets in the tournament to aid Pakistan’s impressive campaign which helped him to announce his stature.

With his lethal bowling effort, Afridi impressed one and all and has drawn praise from several greats of modern day cricket. The left-arm has continued to show that he has a very bright future ahead of him with his performances in his maiden PSL.
He has so far picked seven important wickets in the tournament which has already rewarded him with a contract in Bangladesh Premier League for the next edition. Afridi is expected to announce his final decision on the two BBL offers in the coming days. It will be interesting to see how he adapts to the changing environment and whether he is able to emulate the greats of Pakistan Cricket.
