The best playing XI of the Pepsi IPL 2015: The season 8 of this wonderful T20 league, the Indian Premier League (IPL) has lived up to the hype it created and has genuinely succeeded in fulfilling the expectations of passionate cricket fans spread all over the globe. This season has made a name for itself as one of the most thoroughly entertaining seasons in the celebrated league’s history. We’ve seen it all, the out of the world outrageous shots from the batters, the spectacular unthinkable catches, the deadly stumps-rattling Yorkers, unrivaled passion of the cricketers and many more that connotes to this sumptuous league. Some of the players led the way with their stand-out performances for their respective sides and lit the IPL on fire with their incredible skill. So how would a playing 11 look like if we are to combine those players into a single team? So here is The best playing XI of the Pepsi IPL 2015. 1. He was one of the tournament’s leading run scoring and had short stints with the orange Cap. So that naturally makes him an automatic choice in our best 11. 2. David Warner (SRH): David Warner SRH. (Photo Source: BCCI) The explosive batsman from the Sunrisers Hyderabad was in exceptional form this season and amassed as many as 562 runs with a phenomenal strike rate of 156. He also struck 7 fifties this season and 21 blistering sixes. The Aussie despite not making into the play-offs has ended up as the orange cap holders of the season. 3. Virat Kohli (RCB): Virat Kohli RCB. (Photo Source: BCCI) The 6th most marketable athlete in the world from the Royal Challengers Bangalore side managed to accumulate more than 500 runs with a strike rate of 130. He was a little off colour in the initial half of the season but gradually found his mojo back and runs started to flow from his bat like unstoppable water from a spring. That makes him a mandatory choice for our playing 11. 4. AB de Villiers (RCB): Ab de Villiers RCB. (Photo Source: BCCI) The Superman of the Royal Challengers Bangalore side has scored over 500 runs this season with an astounding strike rate of 175. AB de Villiers was in sublime touch this season and added more feathers to his already teeming cap. His 133 off 59 balls speaks volumes of what this incredible athlete is capable of. The best XI sure is incomplete without this man. 5. Parthiv Patel (Wk): Parthiv Patel MI. (Photo Source: BCCI) The Mumbai Indians opening batsman has taken everyone by surprise with some rollicking performances along with his opening counterpart Lendl Simmons. He scored a crucial knock in the qualifier against CSK to ensure a spot in the final. He has amassed 339 runs with 2 fifties this season. 6. Rohit Sharma [C] (MI): Rohit Sharma IPL Trophy. (Photo Source: BCCI) Rohit Sharma, the hitman has proved himself many times as a batsman. Now he has proved his mettle as a captain as well. He has captained his team successfully to IPL success this edition. With the bat, he accumulated 482 runs with a healthy strike rate of 144. Rohit was absolutely stupendous on the night of the final, his innings of 50 from 26 shifted the momentum of the game towards MI and they ended up on the Podium with the winners Trophy. 7.Dwayne Bravo (CSK): Dwayne Bravo Purple Cap. (Photo Source: BCCI) Dwayne Bravo slightly edged out Andre Russell in our playing XI owing to his incredible all round performance. He struck a wonderful fifty and racked up 24 wickets and is the owner of the Purple cap. He also has 13 catches this season which includes some unreal, unseen before catches. 8. Harbhajan Singh (MI): Harbhajan Singh MI. (Photo Source: BCCI) The turbanator was impressive this season and as a result got a place in the test team in the upcoming tour to Bangladesh. He displayed great dexterity with the ball and picked up 16 wickets and impressed with the bat as well. He along with Andre Russell holds the record for the fastest fifty this season. 9. Ashish Nehra (CSK): Ashish Nehra CSK. (Photo Source: BCCI) Nehra the veteran CSK pacer was fabulous this season with some reliable performances. He picked up over 20 wickets and ended the season as the third highest wicket taker. He picked up wickets at regular intervals and bowled good in the death overs as well. 10. Yuzvendra Chahal (RCB): Yuzvendra Chahal RCB. (Photo Source: BCCI) The young leggie of the RCB team was great this season with over 20 wickets. He did his team a world of good with his wicket taking ability. Yes he was a little expensive but his wicket taking knack compensated ably for that. 11. Mitchell Starc (RCB): Mitchell Starc RCB. (Photo Source: BCCI) The left arm pacer of RCB came into the tournament after the first half got concluded. But even then he was amongst the wickets as he picked up an impressive 20 wickets in just 13 matches. His deadly Yorkers in the death overs were nightmarish for the batsmen.
