'The Jharkhand connection' - MS Dhoni spotted chatting with Ishan Kishan and Anukul Roy after CSK vs MI game

MS Dhoni is only active playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) nowadays having retired from all forms in international cricket. The veteran has a lot of experience up his sleeves and the youngsters, every now and then, try to pick his brains discussing about various cricketing things. Sunday was no different in Dubai as Dhoni was seen chatting to the youngsters from the Mumbai Indians team.

The CSK vs MI encounter lived up to its billing with a game played very competitively by both sides. After MI snapped up four quick wickets, the Men in Yellow rode on Ruturaj Gaikwad’s brilliant knock to propel his team to a competitive score. The Kieron Pollard-led side remained in the chase for the most parts of the innings but couldn’t get home to lose their fourth game of the season.

After the match, Dhoni was spotted speaking to the likes of Ishan Kishan and Anukul Roy from the MI camp. All the three players belong to Jharkhand and as usual, the veteran cricketer was seen giving valuable tips to the young players. It was MS Dhoni who trapped Kishan in the second innings by putting a fielder close in for his uppish drive and the latter fell into the trap.

As for Anukul Roy, he was benched and is yet to feature this season for the Rohit Sharma led side. MI’s official Twitter handle posted the video of MS Dhoni speaking to the youngsters and captioned it as, “The Jharkhand connection.”

What next for CSK and MI?

CSK climbed to the top spot in the points table with their sixth win of the season. They are within touching distance of making it to the playoffs. As for MI, they have now lost four and won as many after eight matches and will have to play well to qualify for the playoffs. MI will next face Kolkata Knight Riders on September 23 in Abu Dhabi while CSK have their next game against the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore on September 24 in Sharjah.
