The bilateral series between New Zealand and Pakistan have started in the favour of the host as the produced two match-winning knocks. The first encounter between two nations started in host favour after skipper produced a brilliant hundred which helped his side to cross three hundred run mark. The New Zealand team comfortably won the encounter after Pakistan team were 60 odd runs short in a rain-affected game. The second match had nothing different expect Pakistan batting first, and they were again short of runs.

However, even after New Zealand’s bowling attack was able to keep Pakistan batsmen quiet in both the matches, the Kiwi skipper feels that his team needs to improve their game standards, especially with the bowl. He believes his team can produce a better performance and there is plenty of room for improvement. The Kiwis will play the Men in Green on Saturday at Dublin for the third one-day International and will look to express the way their skipper is expecting them to do.

Learnt few lessons from the last game

His main concern while asking his boys to notch up their game standards is because of last games’ performance. Pakistan Team had decided to bat first and were seven down for mere 141 runs. However, Hasan Ali played a scintillating inning coming lower down the order and helped his side to register a total of 246 runs.

As quoted by Cricket365, the New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson said that his team has learnt few lessons and know that Pakistani team bats deep. He also appreciated Pakistan by saying that these are good signs for them personally but they will try to keep no box unturned before going of the third ODI.

He said, “We learnt a few lessons from the last game. They bat very deep, the Pakistani side, and that is a sign of a good team.To see their lower order come out and put together a partnership that gave them a total which could have been a tough chase… it’s important that we learn from that.”
