'There's heavy traffic on Mumbai-Pune Express highway' - Rajasthan Royals post hilarious tweet to misguide RCB batter Dinesh Karthik
Karthik has amassed a total of 210 runs in eight appearances in IPL 2022 so far
Indian and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik has been in excellent form in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Karthik will be seen in action in a group stage match of the Red Army against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 26 (Tuesday). To note, RR bowlers were taken apart by him in their previous clash earlier this season. As the two teams prepare to play against each other once again, the Royals have made a hilarious attempt to prevent Karthik from playing in this match.
RCB was down and out at 87/5 with several batters like skipper Faf du Plessis, Anuj Rawat, Virat Kohli, David Willey, and Sherfane Rutherford going back to the hut. The Red Army required 82 off 42 balls at one point, with Karthik and left-handed batter Shahbaz Ahmed at the crease. The duo went on to stitch an excellent partnership as RCB went on to chase down the target with five balls left.
Looking to make sure that the wicketkeeper-batter doesn’t repeat his batting antics, RR’s official Twitter account posted a hilarious message for Karthik. “Hey @DineshKarthik seems like there’s heavy traffic on the Mumbai-Pune express highway, here’s a shorter route,” RR wrote on their Twitter handle.
