'These are memories I will cherish' - Ravi Shastri posts an emotional message as his tenure as Indian Head Coach ends
Ravi Shastri also added that he will continue to support the Indian cricket team as long as he is able to watch cricket.
Ravi Shastri’s tenure as the Head Coach of the Indian cricket team ends with the conclusion of the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup. Shastri had taken charge as the Head Coach of the Indian side in 2017 and was at the helm of affairs for 4 years.
And now, as his tenure comes to an end, the 59-year-old has taken to Twitter to offer his thoughts on his journey. Shastri thanked everyone for allowing him to take part in this wonderful journey of Indian cricket.
Shastri also added that he will cherish the memories that he has had with the Indian side and will continue to support the Indian cricket team as long as he is able to watch cricket.
“Now that the penny has dropped…thank you so much for making me part of this incredible journey. Memories that I will cherish and a team that I will continue to back till the time I’m able to watch the sport,” tweeted Ravi Shastri.

Rahul Dravid to succeed Ravi Shastri as the Head Coach of the Indian cricket team
Former Indian cricketing legend, Rahul Dravid will succeed Ravi Shastri as the Head Coach of the Indian side. Dravid’s first assignment will be a three-match T20I series against the New Zealand side.
And, after he was appointed as the Head Coach of the Indian side, Dravid revealed that he is honoured to be appointed for this role. Dravid also stated that the Indian side has done a good job under Shastri, and he will try to take the team forward. Dravid also stated that the Indian players have the passion to improve each and every day.
“It is an absolute honour to be appointed as the new Head Coach of the Indian cricket team, and I am really looking forward to this role. Under Shastri, the team has done very well, and I hope to work with the team to take it forward. Having worked closely with most of the boys either at NCA, under-19 and India ‘A’ set up, I know they have the passion and desire to improve every day,” said Dravid.
