Conquering Gabba against mighty Australia, a young and injury-marred India achieved the unthinkable and etched their names in the history of gentleman’s game. India winning the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21 can easily be considered as one of the greatest series wins ever as the visiting nation defied all the odds to emerge victorious.
After a horrible hour in the first Test in Adelaide, where the Indian side was bundled out for a paltry total of 36, their lowest ever Test total, many cricket pundits and analysts along with Australian veterans had brutally trolled the Men in Blue saying that they will be smoked by 0-4 in the series. Adding to the misery, India was without the services of their skipper Virat Kohli and bowlers including Ravindra Jadeja, Ravi Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Umesh Yadav in the final Test.
However, the young and inexperienced youngsters showed their grit and determination as they managed to clinch the marquee series by 2-1 and gave a befitting reply to all the trolls and haters.
On this auspicious occasion, India’s regular captain Virat Kohli, who was enjoying the series from his home, took to his official Twitter handle to laud his men for their class and called out everyone who doubted the visiting nation after the Adelaide game.

Rishabh Pant stamps his authority in Australia
Rishabh Pant deserves all the credit for conquering Australia at their fort, The Gabba. With a whopping target of 328 on the scoreboard, Australia were pretty confident about successfully defending the total and clinching the series.
However, Pant produced another masterclass for his willow as he smashed a stunning not out 89 off 138 deliveries to help India chase the total. Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara were also at their fluent best on Day 5 as they added 91 and 56 runs to the scoreboard.
