Chris Gayle is the poster child for T20 cricket internationally. Even a person who does not watches any cricket will still recognise him. The 6ft 5in West Indian is the most feared batsman in the formats history. This can be seen from his numbers in the game, 11 centuries in all matches in the format.
He also made his mark in the international T20s in the very first World Cup in 2007, where he blasted the very first century in the T20 Internationals against South Africa in the first match of the tournament.

Gayle also has 13 half centuries in the format that he has dominated since 2008. His sheer power, charisma and the laid back attitude defines the T20 format. He deals in only boundaries and rarely bothers to run for singles or twos. In all, he is a complete T20 batsman.
