4. Kumar Sangakkara – 38 centuries:
The most recently retired batsman from Test cricket, Kumar Sangakkara played his last Test in 2015 against India. He ended up with 12,400 runs in 134 Tests with an average of 57.40 and the highest score of 319 against Bangladesh. He hit 38 centuries in 233 innings and is only the second batsman in Test history to score a triple hundred and a hundred in the same Test, a feat he accomplished against Bangladesh in 2014 when he scored 319 and 105 in two innings of the Test match.
