<p>New Zealand has always been a team with quality bowlers and complementing batsmen being from that part of the world where bowlers rule over the 22 yards. <p>South African Test skipper Hashim Amla has been a real run maker for South Africa from the time he was drafted in the team. An opening batsman, he loves to take his time to settle in and then takes on the opposition playing his shots. Amla is a naturally good batsman against pace and his subcontinent genes help him against the slower bowlers, his quality against both the variety of attack makes him a difficult batsman to deal with. In the 86 Tests he has played thus far in his career Amla has scored 6820 runs with 23 hundreds and 28 fifties, his batting average of 52.14 shows the consistency with which he has been scoring the runs.</p>

<p>Christopher Henry Gayle from Jamaica makes up his name into this list with over 7000 test runs. Gayle has been a brilliant test player and has also registered a test triple century by his name. The monstrous hitter has scored 15 test centuries at an average of 42.18 in 103 tests. Recently, he has been dropped from the West Indian squad for the test series against Australia.</p>

He has been the pivotal character of the English batting line up for a good number of years now and also possessed a vital contribution in establishing England’s stature as a competitive test playing team. Bell has played 118 tests to reach to 7727 runs and he scored his runs at an average of 42.69.</p>

A stroke-maker who had enough ammunition to pierce any bowling attack has been in exile off late. Pietersens first faced disciplinary action and following that has been a victim of ego clashes.
