6. Phillip Hughes (Australia) 112:
The late Phil Hughes became the first Australian in the history of ODIs to score a century on debut. The opener scored a wonderful 112 off 129 balls smashing 14 fours against Sri Lanka at the MCG in 2013. The first of the 5-match series witnessed Aussies piling up 305/5 thereby allowing them to win the match by 107 runs. The left-handed opener was one of the most promising batsmen to have played for Australia however an unfortunate incident claimed his life a week before his 26th birthday. He played 25 ODIs and scored 826 runs at an average of 35.91 making 2 tons and 4 half centuries.
