India held the previous world record score in 2007 World Cup of 413/5 against Bermuda. Virender Sehwag scored 114, Sourav Ganguly score 89 , Yuvraj 83 and Sachin 57 from 29 balls. Bermuda was dismissed for 156 runs in 43 overs with both Ajit Agarkar and Anil Kumble taking 3/38. India won by 257 runs.
