Top 10 Most Entertaining T20 knocks of all time: Twenty20 is the most entertaining cricketing format without a doubt and the IPL is an irrefutable testimony for attracting viewers from all around the globe. Frankly who wouldn’t like to see the giant humongous sixes, a fast bowler reverse swept for six, the switch hits, the Dil scoops and all those unconventional entertaining shots.T20 Cricket has evolved as one that thoroughly entertains its viewers and makes them feel that they’ve got their money’s worth. So let’s take a look at the Top 10 Most Entertaining T20 knocks of all time. 1. Chris Gayle-175 off 66 balls (RCB Vs PWI): Chris Gayle 175. (Photo Source: BCCI) This is THE MOST magnificent T20 innings ever. The helpless victims in this case were the Pune Warriors India team. Chris Gayle thrashed and decimated all of their bowlers mercilessly and reached his 100 in 30 balls, yes you read it right, 30 balls!! Not one bowler was spared and everyone’s deliveries were carted to all parts of the ground. Mitchell Marsh suffered the most having conceded 29 runs in the fifth over of the game. This is nothing but GAYLE FORCE! 2. Graham Napier-152 off 58 balls (Essex Vs Sussex): Graham Napier scored 152 of just 58 balls. (Photo Source: Warren Page) This was one of the most destructive T20 innings that you are ever likely to see. Napier took apart the Sussex bowlers with ease plundering fours and sixes at will. Napier’s 16 sixes broke Brendon McCullum’s record that was set during his 158 in the inaugural IPL match. His innings was even more amazing because he started off slowly and then got to his hundred in 44 balls, and his next fifty two runs just took 14 deliveries! That is mind-boggling stuff! 3. Suresh Raina – 87 off 25 balls (CSK Vs KXIP): Suresh Raina 87 off 25 balls. (Photo Source: BCCI) This incredible knock features as the third best in our list. Some of you might not agree with this, but this was one of the most versatile performances that we have seen and an unbelievable innings. Chasing 227, Chennai needed a huge effort from its batters and Raina did just that smashing 12 fours and 6 sixes. 84 out of his 87 runs came from boundaries. That is indeed astonishing! 4. Brendon McCullum – 158 off 73 balls (KKR Vs RCB): Brendon McCullum introduced the flavour of T20 and IPL with a marvelous 158* (Photo Source: Google) This was the first match of the first ever IPL in 2008! And Brendon McCullum for KKR lit the IPL on fire with a fiery 158 that stunned the RCB. Bazz hit 10 fours and 13 sixes with a strike rate of 214. Bowlers of the class of Zaheer and Kallis weren’t spared as he demolished the RCB bowling and helped KKR post a score over 200. 5. AB de Villiers – 133 off 59 balls (RCB Vs MI): Ab de Villiers 133 vs MI. (Photo Source: BCCI) The Superman of cricket, Abraham Benjamin de Villiers once again showed his class by absolutely pummeling the MI bowling attack in IPL 2015. At one stage he was batting on 17 off 17 balls but then he accelerated and the scoops started to come, the reverse sweeps came from nowhere, he hit 19 boundaries in all and just 4 sixes against it. AB and Kohli put on 215 runs for the 2nd wicket, the highest ever in a T20 game. 6. Cameron White – 141 off 70 balls (Somerset Vs Worcestershire): Cameron White scored 141 off just 70 balls. Somerset was struggling at 21-3 but White rescued them with his fearless batting which included 14 fours and 6 sixes. He is regarded as one of the roughest hitters of the cricket ball and we all loved the sight when he hit those meaty blows. 7. Yuvraj Singh – 50 off 12 balls (India Vs England): Yuvraj Singh 50 off 12 balls. (© Getty Images) This was one of the most dominant batting displays that one would see. Yuvi hit 6 sixes in a single over off a clueless Stuart Broad as India comfortably posted a total over 200. Broad and Flintoff would probably never forget that innings. The reason why Flintoff’s name is here is because he was the one who fired up Yuvi after a verbal argument with him. Not often do you see 6 sixes in an over, so this innings features in our top 10 list. 8. Murali Vijay – 127 off 56 balls (CSK Vs RR): Murali Vijay CSK. (Photo Source: BCCI) The stylish and elegant right handed batsman from Tamil Nadu surprised one and all with his breath taking 127 against Rajasthan Royals. Murli Vijay hit 8 fours and 11 sixes in that innings with a strike rate of 226.4 all Rajasthan bowlers conceded over 40 runs in their 4 over’s in that match. 9. Paul Valthaty – 120 off 63 balls (KXIP Vs CSK): Paul Valthaty IPL . (Photo Source: AFP) Paul Valthaty was an unknown player at the start of that match, but after his superb innings he became popular overnight. Valthaty single handedly won the game for his side. Not many sixes were hit; just a 2 of them, but 19 wonderful fours were struck all over the ground in that knock. 10. Yusuf Pathan – 100 off 37 balls (RR Vs MI): Yusuf Pathan scored his century in 37 balls. (Photo Source: Indian Premier League) This is the best T20 innings ever according to Shane Warne. This innings by Yusuf Pathan was the fastest hundred in the IPL at that point of time. With a strike rate of 270, he hit 9 fours and 8 sixes but unfortunately for him, his innings ended in a losing cause.
