A team with a better fielding side always has the upper hand over their opposition.The T20 format has changed the way fielding was done. Cricketers are more athletic and have become risk-takers, doing things on the field which no one would have even thought of committing a decade ago. In short, the fielders are the game changers for all teams. So, here in this article, we list out the fielders with most number of catches in World T20s 10. Akmal is a trusted fielder is usually placed at the important Point or Backward point region. He is a committed person when it comes to contributing in the fielding department. Akmal has played 16 matches in the World T20 and has taken 11 catches. His best time as a fielder was during the 2010 World T20 match against England at Bridgetown where he took two catches in the match. 9. Rohit Sharma – 11 catches: India’s Rohit Sharma. Sharma is most preferred at the covers or in the slip cordon where he has done his job perfectly. Sharma has been a part of the Indian team in all the World T20s which has taken place. Sammy is a versatile fielder and can be found at the slips or at the boundary ropes. His best day as a catcher came against Ireland at Providence during the 2010 World T20. He took a stunning four catches in that fixture. 7. Dwayne Bravo – 11 catches: Dwayne Bravo. Bravo is a high-quality fielder and can field anywhere in the park. He has played in all editions of the World T20. He has featured in 23 matches on all and has taken 11 catches in these matches. During the 2014 edition, Bravo took three catches in a day against Bangladesh which remains his best outing as a fielder. 6. Michael Hussey – 12 catches: Michael Hussey. Hussey was a late bloomer in international cricket but quickly earned loyal fans due to his batting and fielding abilities. The retire legend played in four World T20 from 2007 to 2012 and has 12 catches from 21 matches. 5. Dilshan is aggressive as a batsman and carries the same characteristics as a fielder. He is known for his consistency and hardly drops any chances that come to him. Taylor has played 23 matches for New Zealand in world T20s and has taken 13 catches in them. 3. Mahela Jayawardene – 13 catches: Mahela Jayawardene. Counted among one of the all-time greatest catchers of the game, Jayawardene perfectly adapted to the fast-paced nature of T20 cricket and modified his fielding technique and tactics accordingly. The former skipper who is now retired has played for Sri Lanka from the inaugural edition to the 2014 edition. He has 13 catches from the 31 games he played in that span. 2. Warner is an agile fielder and can be usually seen in the catching positions. Just like every good fielder, Warner anticipates every ball to come at him. Warner made his first World T20 appearance in the 2009 edition and has played 19 matches in which he has taken 15 catches overall. AB de Villiers has featured in World T20 editions so far, playing 26 matches in which he has taken a wonderful 21 catches apart from 9 dismissals as a wicketkeeper.
