Batters dread getting out for a duck.
6. Javed Miandad
Javed Miandad was known for his fearless batting during the 1980s and the 90s. His unprecedented ability to dominate bowlers with his brilliant batting style is still remembered in Pakistan. The legendary batter broke into international cricket against the West Indies in June 1975 and became a huge name due to his super batting talent.
On July 23, 1987, to June 18, 1992, he appeared in 106 games for Pakistan and accumulated 4,876 runs that too without getting dismissed for a duck. However, in the second innings of the Lord’s Test in 1992, his streak broke as Chris Lewis removed him on zero after his 112 innings.
After the 1996 World Cup match against India in the quarter-final, Miandad hung his boots scoring 8,832 runs in 189 innings of 124 Tests. In ODIs, he ended up with 7,381 runs with eight hundreds and 50 half-centuries in 218 innings of 233 ODIs. From March to June 2004, the Pakistan great also gave his services to his national team as their coach.
