Faf du Plessis is one of the most prolific batters in international cricket. The veteran took retirement from Tests to focus on the shortest form of the game - T20 cricket. Currently, he is not active in international cricket for South Africa after playing his last Test match against Pakistan in February 2021.

However, his fans witness his glimpse in the cash-rich Indian Premier League often, where he leads Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as their captain. Back in January 2011, he made his international debut for South Africa against India in an ODI game in Cape Town. In his first match, he played a notable knock of 60 runs.

From his debut game on January 18, 2011, to November 23, 2014, du Plessis had an incredible journey in the international circuit. During this long period, he hit 3,707 runs in 99 matches, without any ducks in 108 innings. In December 2014, du Plessis couldn’t hold the streak as he got out on zero for the first time in his international career, in the first innings of the Centurion Test against the West Indies.
