Batters dread getting out for a duck.
3. Alec Stewart
Alec Stewart is counted among the best batters for England in international cricket. The wicketkeeper-batter served his national team for 14 years and accumulated more than 13,000 runs with his bat. In Test cricket, he is the fourth-highest run-getter for England with 8,463 runs in 235 innings of 133 matches.
In 2003, he took retirement from all forms of the sport after having a 14-year-long glorious cricketing career. During his stint in the international circuit, he pulled off some phenomenal feats as a batter. From March 17, 1994, to November 28, 1998, Stewart maintained a non-duck streak in international cricket.
The former England player achieved this feat after not giving his wicket away for a duck in135 innings of 99 games. In these four and a half years, he also notched up 5,119 runs with his bat. The streak broke in November 1998 in the Ashes as he got hunted on zero by Damien Fleming in the second innings of the Perth Test.
