Tendulkar holds every batting record in international cricket today. A modern great his career lasted for 25 years from 1989 to 2014, the longest for any modern player. He captured the imagination of everyone as a 16-year-old in 1989 on his debut against Pakistan and continued to do so till his retirement in 2012. He performed everywhere in the world, scoring 100 international centuries in all formats in every country.
