5. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo – 120:

It was formerly known as Khettarama Stadium (until June 1994). It came into existence due to the efforts of the late Sri Lanka President Ranasinghe Premadasa. It is the biggest stadium in Sri Lanka. The stadium which was opened on February 2, 1986, was built on swampland. The inaugural one-day international was played on April 5, 1986 between Sri Lanka and New Zealand and since then it has hosted 118 ODIs until this year. The Matara Mauler Sanath Jayasuriya (2514) has the most number of the runs at this venue while Muthiah Muralitharan with 75 wickets is the highest wicket getter on this ground.
