Australia have played 90 T20I matches, including the first ever T20I in 2005. They have won 46 and lost 41 matches. Australia is also one of the most dangerous sides in the format and reached finals of the ICC World T20 in 2010, where they were defeated by England.

Australia’s highest team score is 263. Their lowest score is 79 against England in Southampton in 2005. The highest score for Australia in T20Is is 156 by Aaron Finch against England, which is also the highest individual score in all T20 internationals. The best bowling figures for the Aussies are by Shane Watson, who took 4/15 against England in 2011 in Adelaide.

Australia won the first ever T20 international in 2005 and was the first team to score 200 in the format in the same match in 2005.
