Top 10 Teams With Most Runs In T20 Internationals: T20 cricket is now making a name for itself as the most entertaining cricket format. The success of the IPL and other T20 leagues speaks volumes of how 20 overs cricket has managed to captivate and attract fans all over the world. The spectators love to see the runs scored off the bat, the humongous sixes and the power hitting true to the current trend in cricket which is fast turning into a batsman’s game. Now let us look at the Top 10 Teams With Most Runs In T20 Internationals: 10. Zimbabwe – 6645: Zimbabwe. (© Getty Images) Zimbabwe team led by Hamilton Masakadza are on the 10th position in the list of most runs in T20I’s with 6645 runs in the last 10 years. Zimbabwe team made their T20I debut in the year 2006. They have played 51 T20I Matches in total with 45 players. They didn’t play as many matches as they would have liked having played just 59 matches in the past decade. Bangladesh has never been short of any talent and have produced some excellent batters like Shakib, Tamim and Ashraful who have excelled in the shortest format. However Bangladesh haven’t yet produced a centurion in twenty-20 international cricket. 8. India – 9596 runs: India. That is the reason why India have managed to rack up only over 9596 runs. India has always relied on their batting and world cricket has seen some incredible T20 batsmen from India like Dhoni, Yuvi and Raina. India also has the highest batting average in 20-20 internationals. 7. West Indies – 9612 runs: West Indies. Their batsmen have always been pure entertainers and they have produced some dangerous and powerful stroke makes like Christopher Henry Gayle, Andre Russell and Kieron Pollard. WI are a batting powerhouse and no wonder they have racked up 9612 runs. 6. Sri Lanka – 10,897 runs: Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka’s main strength in t20’s has always been their bowling, but still they’ve produced some excellent Twenty-20 batters like Sanga, Mathews and Thisara Perera. Sri Lanka also has 2 T20 centurions. 5. England – 11,878 runs: England. The former world champs have had some great 20-20 batsmen over the years like Paul Collingwood, Alex Hales and Kevin Pietersen. 4. New Zealand – 12,184 runs: New Zealand. New Zealand lead the pack in the centuries tally with 3 centuries and have produced some fine T20 batsmen over the years like Brendon McCullum, Kane Williamson and Martin Guptill. 3. South Africa undoubtedly has the best batting line up in T20’s. They have produced some unbelievable players like Herschelle Gibbs, Ab de Villiers and David Miller and it is no surprise that they have over 12000 runs against the name. 2. Australia – 12,391 runs: Australia. (© Getty Images) Australia is only one of the two teams to go past the 12,000 run mark in T20 internationals. Despite having great teams over the years Australia surprisingly haven’t won the world cup in the shortest format. They’ve produced some great batsmen, who were a perfect suit with T20 game like Adam Gilchrist, Mathew Hayden and David Warner. Australia also has the highest strike rate in T20I’s. 1. The former world champs are at the top of the chart with 14,080 runs against their name. They’ve played the most number of T20 matches so it isn’t a surprise why they are at the top of the ladder.
