Top 10 Teams with Most Sixes in Tests: Test Cricket is the game where the patience of a batsman is tested. It is the game where batsmen tend to focus more upon the grammatical shots of the game and not much on the unorthodox ones. Still, there are instances where attacking cricket has been played in tests and plenty of boundaries have been hit. In this article, we are to emphasize upon the number of sixes being hit by each of the test teams as a whole. The Flower brothers (Andy and Grant) had the major contribution to the strength of the batting line up. Mahela Jayawardene tops the list for them with 61 sixes and he is followed by Sanath Jayasuriya with 59 sixes. They have been a side which has provided tough competition to every opposition and this side possess the quality of destroying the opposition in a single session. Jacques Kallis leads the chart for them with 97 sixes, followed by the ODI skipper, AB de Villiers with 54 sixes. In all South Africa has 858 sixes in tests. 6 – India – 1011: India has 1011 sixes in Tests. Surprisingly, India comes sixth in the list. As expected, Virender Sehwag leads the way for India with 91 sixes. And he is followed by none other than the former Indian test skipper, MS Dhoni with 78 sixes. Also, the legendary, Viv Richards has immense contribution to the tally with 84 sixes. The aggressive intent of these players is likely to take them onto the top in the near future. Also, Mathew Hayden has hit as many as 82 sixes in his career, followed by Ricky Ponting with 73 sixes. Australia have managed to hit 1511 sixes in its test history.
