Call it a destiny or luck, some sportspersons refuse to age. At least, that’s what their faces reveal, and often deceive people when it comes to guessing their real ages. In the context of IPL, we have the likes of Parthiv Patel of Mumbai Indians, who still looks like an 18-year-old boy when his real age is 32. On the contrary, we have Rashid Khan of Sunrisers Hyderabad, whose real age is 18 but looks 30-plus. There are several other such IPL cricketers who seem to be a lot older than their real ages. It’s hard to imagine him below 20 at one glance. Officially, Rashid Khan was born on September 20th, 1998 in Nangarhar Province in Afghanistan. Rashid Khan is performing wonderfully at IPL 10 and accomplished a unique record of picking up his first four wickets consecutively in each of his first four overs at IPL against various opponents. Ben Stokes has emerged out as the Billion Dollar cricketer because Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) grabbed him for a whopping INR 14.5 Crore at IPL 10 auction. Ben Stokes is consistently playing brilliantly with both bat and bowl. Stokes is playing his debut IPL this year and has already cemented his place for England’s national cricket team across formats. Officially, Ben Stokes was born on June 4th, 1991 at Christchurch in New Zealand. The 25-year-old left-handed batsman is yet to make a big impact at IPL 10. But if you randomly look at Shammi you would be surprised that he looks like a lot more matured and a somber guy, someone in his late thirties. Shami is spearheading the bowling attack of Delhi Daredevils at IPL 10. However, he hasn’t got an opportunity to represent his team at this IPL due to an injury. The right-arm-fast has chipped in 18 wickets from 31 IPL matches that he played so far at IPL. Mohammad Shami was out of international cricket for the last few months due to injury. Overall, he is a brilliant fast bowler with more than 170 international wickets to his credit. But if you look at him, you won’t find him a young but an aged cricketer. Many may disagree but James Faulkner, 27, looks a lot older than his peers. His facial features indicate him as someone around 36-37 years of age. James Faulkner is representing Gujarat Lions franchise at IPL 10. But he hasn’t got any chance to represent his IPL team this season. The tall Tasmania-born all-rounder scalped 53 wickets in his 52-match IPL career. No doubt, he is a fantastic batsman down the order and known for his attacking stance but anyone can get bowled if asked to guess his real age. Most fans and people will nod their head saying Sarfaraz must be around 25, while some may even go to the extent saying he is 30! None of them are right. Sarfaraz Khan was born on October 22nd, 1997 in Mumbai and is just 19-year-old. He is almost ruled out of IPL 10 due to his injury. Sarfaraz represents Royal Challengers Bangalore team in IPL. He got 177 runs in 18 matches at an average of 29.50 and a strike rate of 174 in his IPL career. He was the hero of RCB at last year’s IPL season for a couple of matches including his 10-ball 35 against SRH in a league match.
