1.Gordon Goudie (Scotland) 5/73 vs. Australia 2009

The Scotland bowlers had no answer to the onslaught of Aussie batsmen in this one off ODI with all their bowlers going for runs. Their opening bowler Gordon Goudie went for 73 runs to pick 5 wickets, which included 4 tail end batsmen. This is the world record for the most expensive 5 wicket haul in terms of runs conceded.

Australia visited Scotland during their England tour in 2009 for a one off ODI. This match at Edinburgh saw Australia bat first after Scottish Captain Gavin Hamilton won the toss. The Australians were in no harm despite losing David Warner cheaply. They scored a towering 345/10 in their 50 overs, with 111 from David Hussey. Scotland could reply with just 156 runs losing the match by 186 runs with Captain Hamilton top scoring with 38.
