An Ashes Test series is considered one of the toughest Test series of all time. However, the batting juggernaut has made this series his own as he loves playing against England. In the series opener of Ashes 2019 at Edgbaston, coming off a 12-month ban, Smith batted like he owned the ground.

When Australia was struggling at 17/2, he scored a magnificent hundred where he didn’t look in any sort of trouble even once. Australia were 122/8 at one point in time as well. Despite facing world-class bowlers in their own den, Smith didn’t seem to be bothered a bit as he took Australia from 122/8 to 284.

The Aussie run machine went on to score 144 of 219 balls. He then carried his heroics into the second innings as well as he brought up another century. The visitors notched up a massive 251-run win.
