There have been some great partnerships in the IPL which has really changed the phase of modern-day cricket. The strong determination and hard hits of those partnerships did lead to some gigantic totals. David Miller and R.Sathish (130*) for KXIP vs RCB (2013) David Miller and R.Sathish (130*) David Miller and R. Sathish went down to put 130 runs for the 5th wicket for Kings XI Punjab in 2013 where they were playing against RCB in Mohali. Punjab was chasing a target of 191 and lost the wickets in quick succession. They lost 4 wickets very early where then on the crease were David Miller and R, Sathish. Both of them fired down the RCB bowlers making them feel handicapped. Miller got up to the century in just 38 balls and Sathish played his part by scoring 27 runs. It was a complete entertainment in the course. 4. AB de Villiers and Yuvraj Singh (132) for RCB vs RR (2014) AB de Villiers and Yuvraj Singh (132) The sensational duo got together in 2014 for RCB recently and brought about a sudden twist and turn into the whole game. RCB was playing against Rajasthan and lost three wickets which brought the teams and their fans moral down. But when Yuvraj and de Villiers struck the ball high in the sky, the team began to cheer up. There was a large roar from the stands too. At the end of the innings they shared the partnership of 132 runs for the 4th wicket. Yuvraj Singh scored 83 runs and de Villiers scored 58 runs to the teams rescue and helping the team to build up a target of 190. 3. Cameron White and Kumar Sangakkara (157) for DC vs PWI (2012) Cameron White and Kumar Sangakkara (157) With a partnership of 157 runs for Deccan Chargers in the year 2012, Cameron White and Sangakkara managed exceedingly well in saving the team’s lost integrity for the 3rd Wicket. This is the highest partnership in the History of IPL for the third wicket. The Chargers charged against the Pune Warriors bowler. Sangakkara scored 82 off 52 balls and White scored 74 off just 45 balls helping their team to go towards the target of 186. 2. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers (215*) for RCB vs MI (2015) Ab de Villiers and Virat Kohli RCB. They were playing against Mumbai Indians. The captain and the team’s best hitter gave a blow on Mumbai Indians bowler’s cheek. It was a tough play where both the players were hitting the ball hard. AB de Villiers scored an unbeaten 133 runs off 59 runs with 19 fours & 4 sixes. Skipper Kohli has scored 82* off 50 balls. They also made the record of highest partnership in the IPL history. It was a memorable match where RCB laid down the target of 235 runs against MI. 1. Chris Gayle and T. Dilshan (167) for RCB vs PWI (2013) Chris Gayle and T. Dilshan (167) Chris Gayle and Tillakaratne Dilshan were associated in the 165 runs partnership for the 1st wicket, highest opening stand in the History of IPL. It was their saving grade. The duo devastated the entire Pune team and hit the balls high into the stands. Chris Gayle scored a remarkable 175 runs not out whose record is yet unbreakable. Dilshan also contributed by scoring 33 runs. The fans were pleased by Chris Gayle’s massive masque.
