4th in the list of the longest test innings in the last decade in terms of balls, is Brendon McCullum’s innings of 302, again against India, during the 2nd Test of India’s tour of New Zealand this year. India took a huge lead in the first innings and New Zealand were 5 for 94, facing the prospect of an innings defeat, before Brendon McCullum saved the match along with Bradley John Watling, as he scored the highest runs in an innings by a New Zealand captain.
