Bangladesh makes their first appearance in the list. This was a group match against South Africa who batted first after winning the toss. They made 284 runs with half centuries from Hashim Amla, Faf du Plessis and Jacques Kallis.

Bangladesh was bowled out for just 78 runs with South African spinner Robin Peterson taking 4 wickets for 12 runs. Captain Shakib Al Hasan scored 30 but no other Bangladeshi batsmen crossed double figures. This was Bangladesh’s second score below 100 in the World cup 2011.
Bangladesh lost the match by 206 runs.
