West Indies played Australia at the Brisbane in a timeless match. Australia batted first and scored 558 runs with Don Bradman making 223 and Bill Ponsford making 109 runs. It was mostly a run fest for the Australian batsmen with Alan Kippax contributing a well-made 84 runs.
