- Former India cricketer MS Dhoni is currently in the UAE to feature in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) which will commence on September 19.
- The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper announced his international retirement last month on August 15 and now has been training ahead of the cash-rich league.
- His love for Army and the nation is well known to everyone and it was again on show on Thursday after Rafale jets were formally inducted into the Indian Air Force (IAF).

Shane Warne suggests Sourav Ganguly to try his idea of five overs per bowler in T20s in IPL 2020
- With the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) just a few days away, Australia’s spin wizard Shane Warne has come up with an interesting idea to make the shorter format of the game, T20 cricket, more exciting and thrilling.
- Warne suggested that each bowler should be allowed to bowl a maximum of 5 overs.
- As of now, each bowler in a T20 match can bowl only 4 overs, making it compulsory for the team to have at least five main bowlers in their squad.

Harbhajan Singh files case after Chennai businessman dupes him of Rs 4 crore
- Harbhajan Singh, the veteran Indian cricketer, has lodged a complaint with the Chennai police against a businessman, who duped him of Rs 4 crore.
- The incident came to the light after the businessman, who received the money from Harbhajan, approached the Madras High Court for an anticipatory bail after Singh filed a complaint against his name.
- Jalandhar-born Harbhajan stated that he got introduced to the person, named G Mahesh, through a common friend and he paid the amount as a loan back in 2015.

- Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt has refused to play in the upcoming National T20 Championship after being told that he has been demoted to Central Punjab’s second division team.
