The Global Canada T20 is currently taking place at the Maple Leaf North-West Ground, King City and has already been a witness to some exciting encounters. A number of veterans are gracing their presence in the tournament, all-rounder Shahid Afridi is one of them. The legendary Pakistani cricketer is playing for the Edmonton Royals but hasn’t been able to make much of an impact with both bat and ball.

He is the captain of the pack and has only scored 27 runs to go with a couple of wickets at an economy rate of 8.92. The Royals will next play the Winnipeg Hawks on Wednesday. His main ambition of playing the event is to raise funds for his charity named, ‘Hope Not Out’. Amidst his cricketing schedule, he had a chance to meet Salman Khan, a popular Indian Bollywood actor, who was in Toronto as a part of his ‘Dabangg tour’.

Salman was recently seen in the movie ‘Race 3’ which turned out to be a massive blockbuster. The movie was released on Eid 15th June and it took the box office by storm. Multiple reports suggested that the actor invited Afridi to his concert where they met at the backstage. It was also learned that the retired cricketer spoke about his charity events and invited Salman for the same.

Meanwhile, Afridi was delighted to meet the popular personality from the film fraternity. He also shared some pictures of their pictures in the social media. He made a collage of four pictures and uploaded them with a caption, which read as “Great to meet @BeingSalmanKhan today with community members. All the best for the event,”

Here is Afridi’s post

Both are enormous figures in their respective fields and quite expectantly, their supporters were awestruck by the camaraderie between Afridi and Salman.

Here is how Twitter reacted
