Twitter feels that even Sachin Tendulkar couldn’t have answered KBC’s 7 crore question
Many people felt that even the ‘God of Cricket’, Sachin Tendulkar and renowned cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle couldn’t have answered this tough question.
Kaun Banega Crorepati is a famous India TV show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. It is now in its eleventh season, and on Friday, this season found its first crorepati in Sanoj Raj. The man from Bihar played brilliantly to reach the 1 crore mark and became the first in this season to attempt the 7 crore question.
The jackpot question was asked from cricket. The question was, “Who was the Indian bowler off whom Australian legend Don Bradman got a single to reach his 100th first-class century?” Baqa Jilani, Commandur Rangachari, Gogumal Kishenchand, and Kanwar Rai Singh were the options given to him.
However, Sanoj did not know the correct answer and decided to quit the game. When asked to guess any answer, he went with Commandur Rangachari, which turned out to be wrong. The correct answer was Gogumal Kishenchand. Its history dates back to November 1947, when Australian XI was up against Indian XI at the famous Sydney Cricket Ground. Indian XI won that match, but more than this, it was the 100th first-class century of Sir Bradman for which people remember this game.
Don Bradman was batting on 99, and Indian captain Lala Amarnath called up Kishenchand, who was actually a batsman, to bowl. Bradman played the first few balls with respect, before driving one to the right of mid-on and to complete his century. Later on, he confessed that it was a brilliant move since he did not even know how Kishchand bowled.
Twitter reacted to this tough question. Many people felt that even the ‘God of Cricket’, Sachin Tendulkar and renowned cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle couldn’t have answered this tough question. On the other hand, some people also expressed their surprise over Big B asking the jackpot question from the field of cricket.
However, people were all praises for Sanoj, who played the game brilliantly. He used his lifelines nicely and used the ‘Ask The expert’ lifeline even though he was confident about the correct answer, just for the sake of not wasting it. He was patient, humble, and focused throughout the game, which prevented him from panicking and becoming the first crorepati of the season.
