Twitter Reaction: Suresh Raina runs out Ross Taylor off his own bowling
Suresh Raina is always been known by one and all as a better fielder of the Indian team. Whether it is diving in the covers, sliding to protect the ball from reaching the boundary or even throwing himself forward, or any direction for that matter, Suresh Raina is the man for it all. The cover and the gully region is seldom breached each time Raina is present at any of those positions.
The World T20 201 got off to a flier with Martin Guptill smashing the ball straight back over Ashwin’s head for a massive six. Guptill and Colin Munroe lost their wickets in quick succession as the rebuilding responsibility fell on the shoulders of Kane Williamson and Corey Anderson. Williamson too lost his wicket soon after, bringing Ross Taylor to the middle. Now, Ross Taylor has missed out the last few matches for the Kiwis courtesy of an injury.
Having played the warm-up matches, doubts were still cast over his participation. However, Williamson showed faith in his trusted lieutenant by naming him in the side. However, he failed to make much of an impact as he was run out by Suresh Raina. Here, the focus turned back to Suresh Raina as the latter ran out Taylor off some brilliant fielding. Corey Anderson nipped the ball back to Raina, who instinctively noticed Ross Taylor backing up too far outside his crease. He threw the ball back onto the stumps with the back of his hand, running out an unfortunate Ross Taylor.
