Twitter Reaction: Vinod Kambli ‘remembers’ Sachin Tendulkar
Vinod Kambli, perhaps one of India’s most flamboyant batsmen Indian cricket has produced thus far. His friendship with Sachin Tendulkar treads back to the days they spent together at Shivaji Park. Also, who can forget the time records tumbled each time they took to the field to bat. A 664-run partnership is no joke by any means.
Even when Kambli made it to the international side in the mid 90’s, it was the Kambli-Tendulkar duo that stole the show on many an occasion. However, in recent times, Vinod Kambli and Sachin Tendulkar have fallen out with each other, especially following the retirement of Tendulkar. Sachin Tendulkar failed to invite Kambli to his retirement bash and also left the left-hander out of his retirement speech at the Wankhede.
More recently, the scorn clearly remained when Kambli took to twitter to make his feelings clear. A Tweet from the famous ‘Did you know’ account mentioned that – “Any friendship that exceeds the 7-year mark is most likely to last a lifetime.” Up until his retirement in November 2013, Vinod Kambli and Sachin Tendulkar had been friends for over 15 years.
A tweet from Kambli’s wall, linking back to the post was done by ‘Did you know’ just had one word – ‘Wrong’ and a sinister full stop. While this tweet can mean so many things, it certainly seems to be in the direction of Sachin Tendulkar. The infamous tweet led to many Vinod Kambli fans taking to twitter to express their disagreement over what Kambli had to say while a few Twitter users also poked satirical jokes at him.
