Twitter Reactions: A thumping 9-wicket win and India take the series 2-1

In the series decider at Vishakapatnam, India displayed a splendid one-sided performance as they wrapped up the match winning it by 9 wickets, thus also grabbing the series 2-1. Sri Lankan batsmen seemed clueless as the Indian spinners extracted lot of purchase from the wicket.

Earlier after winning the toss, Dhoni chose to field first. Ashwin bowled the first over and struck twice, sending both the openers back to the pavilion. He got 2 more wickets in his next 2 overs and finished with figures of 4-1-8-4, the best bowling figures by an Indian bowler in T20 internationals.

Sri Lanka also indulged in poor shot selection and paved way for the Indian bowlers to exert pressure. Jadeja effected a brilliant run out while Raina too picked up a couple of wickets as SL got bundled for just 82 runs. Jasprit Bumrah and Ashish Nehra also bowled quite well as Sri Lanka registered their lowest T20 international score.

Chasing just 83 to win, India began quite comfortably and went about the task without any fuss. They chased the total in 13.5 overs with Dhawan scoring a run a ball 46. India lost just one wicket in the form of Rohit Sharma who was out LBW against Chameera. Ashwin undoubtedly won the Man of the match and the Man of the Series award. Both teams will now meet in the Asia Cup which begins later this month preceding the WT20.
