Mackenzie Harvey top-scored for the Renegades with a sedate 40-ball 45. Apart from Harvey, Sam Harper also chipped in with a handy 32 off 25 deliveries as well. With the ball, as many as 3 bowlers scalped 2 wickets each for the Perth Scorchers outfit.

Jason Behrendorff, Tymal Mills and Ashton Agar all scalped 2 wickets each. However, Behrendorff was the most economical of the three, conceding just 19 runs in his 4-over quota.

In reply, the Perth Scorchers strolled past the target set by the Melbourne Renegades side with 8 wickets and 3.1 overs to spare. The opening duo of Cameron Bancroft and Josh Inglis put on a quickfire partnership of 49 runs.

After both openers fell in quick succession, Mitchell Marsh and Colin Munro stitched together a match-winning 99-run partnership for the third wicket to seal the deal for the Scorchers.

While Marsh scored a 33-ball 42*, Munro went totally berserk and plundered 58* at a strike rate in excess of 180. Zahir Khan and Nic Maddinson picked up one wicket each for the Renegades with the ball in hand.
