Team India flamboyant batter Ishan Kishan registered yet another low score as he was dismissed for just one run from three balls in the series decider against New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

After getting level in the series in the second T20I in Lucknow, the Men in Blue are on the lookout to seal the contest against the visitors with a win in the third and final fixture. Opting to bat first, Hardik Pandya and Co. have lost an early wicket in the contest with the dismissal of Ishan in the second over of the first innings.

Michael Bracewell sent Ishan packing when he dismissed the batter LBW off a delivery that didn't turn. Unsure whether it brushed off his bat, Ishan decided to review the umpires call only to be given ‘out’ as the ball skid straight on the wickets, beating the inside edge.

Kishan scored only 24 runs in the series

Ishan Kishan has registered a string of low scores in the shortest format as he got scores of 4, 19 and 1 in the three T20I clashes against the BlackCaps. Adding to the miseries with the willow, the southpaw has amassed an underwhelming 200 runs in his last 14 T20I outings at an average of 14.28 and a strike rate of 105.26.

The batter is in fine touch in the One-Day format though as he took the cricketing world by storm with his 210 runs in an ODI contest against Bangladesh in December recently. However, his T20I numbers do not seem to be at par.

India will look to bounce back from the early blow endured with the likes of Rahul Tripathi joining Shubman Gill on the crease. The duo will aim to build a decent partnership to lay a solid foundation for the middle-order batters to pitch in and then take the onus of getting the big scores. While the match proves to be the decider for both sides, it remains to be seen if India make a comeback and put on a competitive total.

Netizens fume as Ishan Kishan fails to hit the ground running-
