'Cheap stunts, totally biased' - Fans express displeasure over Pakistan's flag size in ODI World Cup 2023 anthem
India is all set to host the ICC global event from October 5 to November 19.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) on September 20 unveiled the official anthem, 'Dil Jashn Bole' for the eagerly anticipated Cricket World Cup 2023. India is all set to host the ICC global event from October 5 to November 19.
Meanwhile, some Pakistan cricket fans expressed their displeasure after seeing the anthem, asserting that the size of their national flag shown in it was small in size. Notably, one Pakistan supporter is seen holding a small flag in the video while the others are holding large ones.
"Yeh Pakistan ka flag asal mein itna chota kyun rakha hay World Cup anthem mein? Couldn't they find a bigger flag ya flag of the size of other countries? Har dafa koi na koi cheez kardete hain jis se dil kharab hota hay, pata nai kya jata hay equality mein," a popular cricket fan Farid Khan wrote on X.
The official World Cup anthem features Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and other well-known social media influencers. Pritam Chakraborty, a well-known music director, composed the official anthem. The vocalists of the song include Nakash Aziz, Sreerama Chandra, Amit Mishra, Jonita Gandhi, AKASA, and Charan, while Shloke Lal and Saaveri Verma wrote the lyrics.
The anthem is set inside a train's bogie, and Ranveer as well as the official mascots can be seen inside. The actor says "ALL IT TAKES IS ONE-DAY" in the opening line of the song. The hook melody "Dil Jashn Bole" is then introduced by composer Pritam, while making a legendary Bollywood appearance on top of a moving train's bogie.
The anthem further encourages the crowd to show up and support their favourite teams competing in the tournament. The video also features esports gamer and influencer Scout, Be YouNick, Viraj Ghelani, Gaurav Taneja (Flying Beast), sports journalist Jatin Sapru, and dancer Dhanashree Verma.
